Attention Middle School students and your families!  We will be watching the Super Bowl together this Sunday night in the Attic, starting at 5:30pm.  We are setting up the big screen to play the game, will be opening the gym if you want to test your own skills, and of course, will have lots of food!

Pizza and wings will be provided, but please bring some snacks with you so we can pig out during the game.  I am asking the girls to bring something SWEET and the guys to bring something SALTY.

ONE LAST IMPORTANT NOTE: It is a school night, so we will be ending a HALFTIME.  That way, you can get your homework done or just finish out the game at home while getting your homework done

PARENTS: We need a few volunteers to hang out and keep an eye on everyone, so come on out and join us for the night!

Attention High School students!  Come out and join us at 6:00pm at the Carnaggio’s house as we watch the Saints and Colts battle it out on several TV’s. There will also be guitar hero, video games, pool, karaoke, and much more, so come have fun with us.

Guys need to bring something salty & girls bring something sweet. The Wings, Pizza, and Coke’s are on us!!

Ask any of our students at Riverland Hills about their most meaningful experiences within the youth ministry, and chances are they almost always talk about Disciple Now. Every year, students gather in homes around our community for Bible study and a lot of fun! The homes provide an environment where our students build friendships that will last a lifetime. But more importantly, the weekend is devoted to Bible studies that will have an eternal impact upon our students.

This year, the theme for Disciple Now is Sequence. It’s time to get back to what being a Christian is all about. Following Christ. He’s first. He’s the leader. He’s God. So we line up behind Him and follow in His steps, even if they don’t lead where we want or expect, to places that are uncomfortable or even sacrificial.

If you aren’t convinced that Disciple Now will be one of the best weekends of the year, don’t forget about the band and speaker for the weekend.  We are not promising much sleep for the weekend, but we do promise that you will have an amazing time!

Sunday, December 20th, we will be having a Big Group YBF to prepare for “Birthday Party for Jesus (service project held at River Oaks Apts.)

Parents: We would like to serve some Christmas treats on Sunday while we decorate – please let Joan know if you can bring a couple of dozen cookies/goodies/candy canes for the students!

Students: Remember to bring the gifts for the children AND ribbon, bows, tape to help decorate the bags this Sunday at YBF.

If you are able to attend the service project at River Oaks Apts. on Monday, December 21st at 11:00am, please sign up at YBF this Sunday.

Jack Howard is organizing a group of men to go out into the community and help our widows with yard work, maintenance, etc.  Our youth have also been invited to participate, and are especially encouraged to come out as a Father/Son or Father/Daughter team (if your Dad can’t come, you are still more than welcome to participate).

Anyway, I would love to see some families from our youth ministry participate–your whole family is more than welcome to come out.

It is this Saturday, and they are meeting at the church at 8:00 a.m. for Krispy Kreme doughnuts and coffee before they head out into the community.
